The holiday season is a great time to get out for some fun family activities and beautiful Bristol, N.H., has plenty planned in 2023.

Located just off of Interstate 93 about 45 minutes north of Concord, Bristol makes a perfect spot for a family day trip during the holiday season. Whether you come for shopping, a craft fair or to see Santa himself, you’re certain to have a great time in Bristol.

November 6-30

Holiday Cookie Sale With the Friends of the Minot-Sleeper Library

Pop into the Minot-Sleeper Library to order holiday cookies. A great gift for your neighbors, co-workers or the hostess of your favorite holiday party. Pick up on December 8.

November 21

One Stop Christmas Shop for Kids at the Tapply-Thompson Community Center

4-7 p.m.

A fun opportunity for kids to shop for gifts and have them wrapped and tagged.

Thanksgiving Weekend Family Fun

Skip the mall the day after Thanksgiving and join us for a fun-filled day in Bristol.

November 24

One Stop Christmas Shop for Kids at the Tapply-Thompson Community Center (see above)

Bristol Annual Tree Lighting

Head down to Central Square for festive music, shopping and a visit from Santa! The evening kicks off at 5:30 p.m.

Bristol Rotary Club Christmas Tree Sale

There’s nothing more small-town New England than loading the kids in the car and heading out to hunt for a Christmas tree. Come to Bristol for the day and leave with a tree. This Bristol Rotary annual tree sale is ongoing throughout the holiday season and is located at O’Reilly Auto Parts.

November 24 & 25

Annual Festival of Trees

Take in the many trees at the Historic Town Hall in downtown Bristol, sponsored by the Friends of Newfound Drama. Friday hours are 4-8 p.m. and Saturday hours are 10 a.m.-7 p.m.

December 8-10

Join us for one of the biggest holiday events in Bristol. The 69th annual Santa’s Village at the Tapply-Thompson Community Center is not to be missed! This family fair includes a craft fair, Santa’s Elves making toys and wrapping presents, delicious cookies from Mrs. Claus’ famous cookies, and a North Pole train station. All families will get to spend time with Santa and will receive a special commemorative ornament. Admission is free with a canned goods donation.

December 9

Breakfast With Santa

This free family event brings you up close to the Big Guy himself. Stop by the Masonic Lodge between 8-10 a.m. for a warm breakfast and plenty of photo opportunities.

December 15 & 16

Luminary Hike to Inspiration Point

This unforgettable and unique holiday season excursion takes you into the beautiful forests of the Slim Baker reserve. Walk starts at 5:30 p.m. Got to slimbaker.org for more information.

Parent’s Night Out at Tapply-Thompson Community Center

With all the family fun, grown-ups need a chance to do a little shopping and unwind away from the kids. The wise volunteers at the Tapply-Thompson Community Center are offering a night of babysitting at the center. For children aged 4 and up. Cost is $25. Register at ttccrec.org.
